Motherboard: The Backbone of Connectivity Components & Functions
The motherboard is the central circuit board that connects and communicates all computer
components. It acts as the command center, coordinating data flow between the CPU, RAM,
storage devices, graphics cards, and peripherals. Without it, your system would be a pile of
disconnected parts.
TPM (Trusted Platform Module)
A TPM chip is a built-in security feature found on many modern motherboards. It stores
cryptographic keys and enables secure boot processes, disk encryption, and system integrity
checks. Windows 11 requires TPM to activate features like BitLocker encryption and secure
boot.
